Redbeard Retires

For Christmas, I asked Brandon to grow out his beard, since I'd never seen him with anything more than just a good layer of scruff. Of course, shaving the beard off is much more fun than growing it in.

It took a few days to get used to the "new" Brandon again. (Who knew I could become so attached to a beard?) What fun trick should I ask for next Christmas?

New Year's Turkey

For our first good deed of the new year, we picked up our friends, the Johnsons, from the airport. (You remember them--we had Thanksgiving dinner at their apartment.) As we were driving through the MIT portion of Cambridge, Paige yelled out that she saw a wild turkey walking down the sidewalk. A quick discussion ensued about whether or not we believed Paige and if so, should we turn around and pursue said turkey. The answer to both questions was in the affirmative. Upon careful inspection, indeed we found a full-grown Cambridge turkey. We didn't have a camera, but here's the stellar cell phone video Brandon was able to take. Happy New Year!
