Summer Dance Class
A friend of ours offered several weeks of free dance classes at the beginning of the summer and I quickly signed up Kiddo and BG. They had a great time! Unfortunately, most of my pictures turned out blurry, but I love this one of Kiddo. He was totally immersed in the class!

National Donut Day
The first day of summer break happened to coincide with National Donut Day (no really! it's a thing!), so we spent the day driving around the city to get a few good donuts. The plan was to get some tried and true Shipley donuts, some of our favorites from Donutlicious, and then compare them to a donut shop that came highly recommended (aptly named Best Donuts). The kids said they were done after only two donut shops (we obviously need to work on their donut eating skills), which was fine since Donutlicious was sold out before we got there. Still, two donut stops is not a bad day's work!

End of 1st Grade!
It seemed like this school year just flew by! Here is Kiddo's last day of school pic (it was pajama day, just fyi. Also, here is his first day of school pic for comparison):
Kiddo came home from school not feeling well, but luckily perked up in time for our End of School Party. (Even Brandon came to the party!) This year's theme: mini! We ate personal sized pizzas, had small cans of soda, and desserts that ranged from mini Oreos, to popsicles (Mike and Ike candies with a toothpick at the end) and strawberry ice cream cones (Bugles with cream cheese). The kids thought the small sodas were hilarious and were totally confused by the small ice cream cones.
Afterwords, we surprised the kids with an inflatable bounce house! Summer is already off to a good start!

I Wish You Were Here
Brandon has done a lot of travelling lately. I mean, he's always had to travel for work, but it's never been this frequent. It is to the point where I don't even bother moving the "welcome home" sign because I'll just have to put it back again in another 3 to 14 days.
But all that travel means that Brandon has missed all sorts of cuteness at home, so I've been sending him a lot of pictures while he's away. Here's a sample from the last couple of months:
