School Holiday Concerts

Moscow Ward Christmas Party

A few months ago, at the same time the bishop gave me a second calling, he also asked if I would be in charge of the Christmas party.  Sure, why not?  I wrote up a program--similar to one I found online--asked people to help with decorations, refreshments, musical numbers, etc., and volunteered the YM/YW to do all of the program parts (innkeeper, shepherds, wise men, Mary and Joseph).

The drum/piano duet were added last-minute when one of the members brought his drums to the party. It was awesome!

The party turned out really well, but it was stressful!  We started half an hour late because most of the people with parts weren't there yet, and I was running around trying to find substitutes for the people that didn't show up.  I told the bishop I'm never going to be in charge of the Christmas party again and he assured me that he would never ask me to (because he's being released this summer when his family moves.  haha.)  All-in-all, though, it was a success!
