Halloween in a Nutshell

Since I failed to post anything Halloween-related when it actually happened, now it's all lumped together in one giant post no less than two weeks after Halloween ended.  So without further ado....

This was the first year that we actually went to a pumpkin patch and I think it's going to be a yearly tradition.  We found a local church that buys their pumpkins directly from a Navajo Indian Reservation, and all the money from sales goes to various charities.  Kiddo and BG could run around and find their favorites and we could feel good about ourselves for buying extra pumpkins.  Winning all around.

Kiddo also had a Halloween music program and costume parade at his preschool.  It was so fun to see him singing along and doing the actions to all the songs.  He did awesome!

And then there was our ward's Halloween party--which is arguably the biggest party of the year for our ward.  We haven't done much with Halloween in years past, so in comparison, we really went all out this time.

(From L to R: firefighter, Russian soccer player, Wonder Woman, and Nemo)

I already had the Wonder Woman costume from a party about ten years ago; I still can't believe I actually wore it.  However, it did win one of the night's costume contests (Best Costume in an Election Year--because Wonder Woman is someone everyone can get behind, or something like that), and I was treated to some embarrassing ward notoriety for some time afterwards.  All in the name of Halloween.
