Anyway, to get in the Halloween spirit, we went to our local pumpkin patch for some careful pumpkin selection.
Our kids had picked out what they wanted to be for Halloween almost a month beforehand. Kiddo wanted to be a ghost and BG wanted to be a pumpkin. Of course, that was too easy. For our ward trunk-or-treat, Kiddo had a last minute change of heart and ended up wearing last year's firefighter costume instead (although BG was still a cute little pumpkin).
This year had another Halloween first: trick-or-treating around the neighborhood instead of the local mall! Brandon took the kids around while I manned the door for the [pitiful number of] trick-or-treaters. (I bought about 5 pounds too much candy that we still haven't finished eating.) Naturally, BG wanted to have her turn being a firefighter, and Kiddo was his ghost. The kids had a great time!
