Overdue Halloween Post

I feel like Halloween wasn't quite as crazy as it was last year, which is no doubt owed entirely to the fact that Brandon was able to participate in Halloween for the first time since Kiddo was a baby.  Can I just say--it's nice to have your husband around for holidays!

Anyway, to get in the Halloween spirit, we went to our local pumpkin patch for some careful pumpkin selection.

Our kids had picked out what they wanted to be for Halloween almost a month beforehand.  Kiddo wanted to be a ghost and BG wanted to be a pumpkin.  Of course, that was too easy.  For our ward trunk-or-treat, Kiddo had a last minute change of heart and ended up wearing last year's firefighter costume instead (although BG was still a cute little pumpkin).

This year had another Halloween first: trick-or-treating around the neighborhood instead of the local mall!  Brandon took the kids around while I manned the door for the [pitiful number of] trick-or-treaters.  (I bought about 5 pounds too much candy that we still haven't finished eating.)  Naturally, BG wanted to have her turn being a firefighter, and Kiddo was his ghost.  The kids had a great time!
