Houston! It's about the last place in the world I thought we'd end up, but there you go. Brandon got a new job working in-house and it turns out that company wants him in Houston. One of the most exciting parts about the job is that Brandon will be able to make periodic trips to Russia. And if they asked us all to move over there at some point? Well, we wouldn't turn them down!
We have never been to Texas before (except for Brandon, when he interviewed), so we all flew down over 4th of July weekend for a whirlwind house-hunting trip. Our good friends, Rob and Aunt Christa, let us stay with them as we traversed the suburb of Spring, looking for a place to live. The kids were pretty great with the endless housing search, and we think we've found our newest home. Hopefully it all works out. In any case, we make the trek to Texas in less than two weeks!
We've gotten so attached to Arlington and the wonderful people here, who we will miss terribly. But, as is bound to happen with us, we're moving yet again.
Btw--We checked out the Houston Temple after church on Sunday. The steeple especially reminded us a lot of the Boston Temple, which made it comfortingly familiar.

I've been published!
Tonight my in-laws asked me via chat whether I was in the Ensign magazine, because if not, there was some other Felicia in Virginia who was being quoted. Since I'm still reading May's conference edition, my first thought was, "Huh?" And then, "Oh yeah!" I had submitted a comment a few months ago and forgotten all about it. (Here's the link, if you'd care to read what they published.) The snippet I wrote was all about how I've committed to reading the entire Ensign every month instead of picking and choosing the articles I read.
The best part? Today is June 30th...and I hadn't read my own comment in this month's Ensign.
